Reno Trip

This year we decided to take the kids with us to Reno for RMEF show.  First we helped Chester with the packing clinic on Friday and Saturday mornings.  Then the I took the kids to "kids camp" a booth put on by the Nevada Dept of Wildlife where they tied fishing flies, learned to cast on a fly fishing pole, decorated T-shirts, shot rifles a laser target game and matched tracks and pelts to animals.  They had a blast, we spent a couple of hours there each day.  They knew us by name when we left.  Ketch was quite the Fly maker.  He even tied a hard one called the Sheep Creek Special.  The teacher was very impressed and Ketch has informed us that he has found a new hobby.  Holden and Winn tied some "woolly buggers".  Now the boys, especially Winn, have the fishing itch.  They also walked away with a sack full of wildlife coloring books, pencils, bracelets and sun glasses.  Friday afternoon we hit the hotel pool and the kids were in heaven, so was mom.  We took their life jackets, and they cannon balled into the pool as mom sat on the edge and watched, thankful for the rest.  Dad was also able to come and join us at the pool.  Saturday afternoon we hit the arcade in the hotel and then went to Circus, Circus.  The kids loved it, Chester and I felt a little claustrophobic with all the people, but it was fun....and expensive.  Sunday after kids camp we left and came home.  It was a good trip, the kids enjoyed it and it was fun to take them with us.
