Holden's 8th Birthday

Boy am I starting to feel old.  Holden has turned 8. He woke up early and opened his presents from Dad and Mom and then we went to the river for his Birthday! The boat didn't run so well so we went and visited Grandma Susie and Grandpa Dennis and then went on to Gooding to the rodeo.  Sunday we had all the family over for cake and ice cream and Party!

Holden said the best thing about turning 8 is that he gets to be baptized.  He said the best thing about his birthday was spending the day with his family.  What a special boy we are blessed to have.  Happy Birthday Holden we love you so very much!!!!

Here are some fun pictures from the Rodeo.  Chester's team won the Range race, which was very "western".  This consisted of taking you saddle, bridle and boots and placing them in the middle of the arena.  A team mate holds your horse at one end of the arena, while you hoof it down in your socks in a foot race to your pile of gear.  Put your boots on, grab your saddle and bridle and race to horse.  Saddle your horse with out a blanket and bridle it, mount up and race back to the other end.  Most of the horses didn't care for the no blanket thing and bucked in protest.  The team also placed in the trailer loading with a time of 36 seconds.  Chester won the "Best Horse" for the whole competition.  way to go Done It!!!
